Privacy policy

In plain language

We collect very little: what you choose to send us, and what our booking and hosting providers need to work. We use it only to reply to you and run our business, never sell it, and you can ask us to see or delete it at any time by writing to ibrahim@excro.com.

01Who we are

This website is operated by Excro Inc. (“Excro”, “we”, “us”), a corporation incorporated in Canada. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

02What we collect

  • Information you send us. When you email us or use the contact form (which opens your own email app), we receive your name, email address, company and anything you write.
  • Booking details. If you book a call through our booking page (Google Calendar appointment scheduling), Google collects your name, email, chosen time and any notes, and shares them with us.
  • Technical data. Our hosting provider may log standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

03How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange calls.
  • To prepare proposals and, if we work together, to deliver and invoice our services.
  • To keep this website secure and working.
  • To meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.

04Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business (for example email, scheduling and website hosting), under terms that require them to protect it, or where the law requires us to.

05Where it is stored

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, the information is subject to the laws of that country, and we rely on contractual protections with those providers.

06How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it is useful to the conversation, and client records for as long as needed for the engagement and for legal and accounting purposes. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

07Your rights

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, subject to legal limits. Write to ibrahim@excro.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

08Security

We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including access controls and encrypted services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information (such as account numbers) by email.
